Edmonton Eskimo
Alumni Association donating new scoreboards to local parks

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimo Alumni
Association is proud to announce that
they are donating new outdoor
scoreboards to three of The City
of Edmonton’s sports parks. The three sights chosen to receive
new scoreboards are Coronation Park, Johnny Bright Park
and Clarke Park, as their scoreboards were in greatest
need of updating. The Dactronics boards purchased were supplied
and just recently installed by Centaur Products of Calgary.
These state-of-the-art boards all feature LED display, as well
as wireless controls for the greatest in both visibility and
reliability. The boards are now in place and operational just in
time for the Edmonton Minor Football League playoffs, including
this Sunday’s PFC Final at Clarke Park.
The Alumni Association raised the $75,000.00 for this legacy project
through its various fundraising events held each year. The
Association’s number one priority was to provide proper scorekeeping
equipment for the many minor football teams that use the parks each
year. However, it’s not just football teams that will enjoy the new
boards. Other sports leagues and athletes will benefit, as these
scoreboards can be used during soccer and track and field events as
well.
Supporting and promoting minor football in Edmonton and area is one
of the Edmonton Eskimo Alumni Association’s main priorities.
The Edmonton Eskimo Alumni Association would like to thank The City
of Edmonton, Football Alberta and the many people who have supported
the Alumni Association’s fundraising efforts.
